Onion Creek Club is a historic private golf and country club located in South Austin, Texas. The club features a 27-hole championship golf facility known for rolling fairways, mature trees, water-lined holes, and scenic Texas Hill Country surroundings.
Established in 1974 by legendary Masters champion Jimmy Demaret and Austin businessman Jimmy Connolly, Onion Creek Club became one of the most important golf destinations in Texas. The original championship layout was designed by Demaret, while an additional nine holes were later designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore.
The club is widely recognized as the “Birthplace of the Senior PGA Tour” after hosting the original Legends of Golf event, which helped inspire the creation of today’s PGA Tour Champions.
